Math Time with Daddy

Chris is the math tutor for the Addie. My gifts are in cleaning, organizing, shopping etc. Not Math. Now, with that said I can do 3rd and 6th grade but not Algebra.  Addie has to wait until daddy gets home to help if there are any problems with math that she doesn't understand.

Chris is helping Addie with Math.

Awana Time at Night

Every night the girls go up to bed and study their Awana verses for about 20 minutes before Chris and I go up to tuck them in. This is such a sweet time for me to hear them saying their verses to each other and talking about their day!

My Princess

I had to run into the mall after the trip to the mountains to pick apples to get a few things. We went by the Disney store. The girls are really to old now for what they carry. I caught Cizzie checking herself out in the mirror holding up a princess dress.

Apple Picking with the Family!

We took PawPaw and MawMaw apple picking with us Saturday. We go to Sky Top in Hendersonville. This is something we love doing. Last year we were not able to because it had rained so much the apples were rotting while they were still on the trees.

We are heading down into the orchard. And there Chris is reading his map. He kills me!! I go just find what I am looking for.

One of the things the girls love to do is climb in the apple trees. They like to climb really high. It
always scares me. I am scared they are going to fall and break something.

We love gala apples

There were a lot of rotten ones on the ground with a lot of bees.
Girls and bees don't mix.

There were tons of golden apples.

There were tons of golden delicious apples in the top of the trees. Chris had to climb a tree and get
some of the good ones.

We are done.

We got a basket full. They were the best apples ever!!

Cooking Class

The girls love to cook. They like to call it "cooking class" We decided to cook a meal for PawPaw and MawMaw while Chris and I were on our anniversary lunch. This is their favorite chicken casserole ever!!

Our 20th Wedding Anniversary

Today, Chris and I are celebrating our 20th wedding anniversary. I would have never imagined the road we have been down. We have experienced the joy of marriage and starting a family to the tragedy of losing a child. Yet, the one constant in our live is our unwavering faith in the Lord Jesus. We were made aware that statistically speaking, many marriages do not survive storms like that. I am so thankful that God brought Chris into my life. I am also thankful that our marriage is stronger today and gains strength each day.

Happy 18th Birthday Bailey!!

Today is Bailey's 18th birthday. This picture was taken in September 2000 when she was 6 years old. What I didn't realize is that this would be the last photo she would ever have made to celebrate her birthday. I didn't know that in 4 short months she wouldn't be here for me to hold.  Bailey passed away January 12, 2001 at the age of 6. Birthdays are always hard for me or any special occasion really. Your mind starts to wonder about what would her personality would be like, how tall would she be, would she like to dance like the other girls, would she be a great big sister, where would she be going to college?  I used to wonder quite a bit WHY this happened to me. Not only to have a disabled child that suffered everyday of her life, but to have her live for 6 years 4 months and then to be taken from us all of a sudden. As I have grown and matured in relationship with Christ I know that all thing are for His glory. I am looking forwad to the day I can see her again.
She will be able to walk, talk, run and play. What a day that will be!!
